Concert Countdown

With the Concert for the Cure being only a week away, me and the Think Pink gals are busy promoting our event. We are hoping to sell out all 300 tickets to the show and have been lucky enough to receive great generousity from Channel 6 and Michelle Edmonds. She graciously invited us to the Komen Pink Social this past Wednesday night and encouraged us to promote our concert and organization. And boy what a night. It was incredible to see the turnout and the magnitude of inspirational people. We met so many wonderful women in our community and the outpour of support for Think Pink was impressive. We sold several shirts and better yet, had a HUGE interest in the upcoming concert. We can’t wait to see our new friends next Saturday night!

We LOVE Hawaii

Wow—what a wonderful place Hawaii is! We were lucky enough to visit Maui, Kauai, The Big Island and Oahu on our honeymoon. Each of them offered different activities and beauty. Our favorite is Maui—it had a nice mix of relaxation and shopping/restaurants/activities.

You can check out our photos here. We started in Maui then went to Honolulu for a few days. That is where we boarded the Pride of America for our 7-day cruise around the islands, very cool. They offered tons of great on-shore excursions. One of our favorites was surfing! We have also uploaded a few of our videos from the vacation—they are located on the right side of the this page. Enjoy!

PS: Hawaii we miss you!

Think Pink

This past August the Boise chapter of Think Pink, Inc. was founded by Crissie McDowell, Lindzee Frei, Kate Holgate and myself. We are proud to say that Think Pink donates 100% off all net proceeds directly to the Boise affiliate of The Susan G. Komen Foundation. The money donated is used for breast cancer research and to provide local women in our area with mammograms, an essential tool in early detection.

Our first fundraising event is coming up in November. We will be presenting “Concert for the Cure” Novemeber 8th, 2008. Please join us for an evening to celebrate breast cancer survivors and remember those we love. There will be live music from talented local musicians, raffle prizes, drink specials, commerorative concert t-shirts and the famous SAVE THE BOOBS t-shirts.

WHERE: Visual Arts Collective
TIME: Doors open at 7 – Music at 8
TICKETS: $20 ahead of time here or $25 at the door
LINEUP: Smooth Old-Fashioned High, Ned Evett and Bill Coffey, and Dan Costello

So please join us and support our fight against breast cancer!

Cheers from the Casters

We are jumping on the bandwagon and have made ourselves a family blog too! Although it is just Trevor, me, and little Chloe (our 2 year old maltipoo), we thought we could have a lot of fun with the blogging world too. We hope to post pics from family fun, vacations and any new updates or exciting times we have going on. Enjoy!
