Holiday Time

Christmas is Trevor’s favorite time of year so to kick off the start of the season I gathered up my parents and the Caster clan for a day of fun. We started off at the Festival of Trees at The Grove which was beautiful. There were so many unique and fun trees it sparked my imagination for our tree at home…we will see where that leads.

Then we went outside to listen to the music and entertainment for the tree lighting. The Grove was packed with fun and lots of people in the holiday spirit. Then it was off to the movies to see “Four Christmases”. Funny movie full of family mishaps and fun, great to see with the fam.

All in all it was a blast! It is great to be able to enjoy the holiday season with our families and the festival was a great way to begin. I feel a tradition coming on! :)

Shopping Extravaganza!

Shopping on Black Friday has turned into a fun tradition that my Mom, sister and I share each year. The deals are great, but the excitment of the Christmas season being here and shopping together is more of what I look forward to. This year I picked up Mom at 3:30 AM today for non-stop shopping! Here we are just headed out to JC Penneys for their door busters at 4AM. Then it was on to Old Navy, Target and Cost Plus. My car was filled to the brim by 7:30 and we were on our way home. We missed Bridgette this year (she was in Idaho Falls) but hope she found some great bargains on her shopping spree too! Happy shopping everyone!

Full tummies

Trevor and I had a great Thanksgiving with our families! It was a nice change to not have to travel far to see everyone, it’s great to be back home!

We started the day off with me cooking brunch for my parents and grandparents. It was great to be able to host a holiday and celebrate.

Chloe made a new friend and cuddled up to Papa the entire morning!

Then in the afternoon we drove over to Payette for an incredible dinner at Trevor’s parents place. Talk about a spread, there was enough food for days! We chowed down all day and into the evening thanks to these great cooks!
And we ended the night playing Rock Band….Trev was the master on the drums. We hope you all had a wonderful holiday too!

Go Vandals!!

Yesterday was the UI vs BSU game and we were excited to be able to cheer our team on. We went to my Mom and Dad’s for a predominately BSU fan based party, but were pleasantly surprised with a few other Vandal faces.

Nothing beats a great rivalry!

Even though the Vandals didn’t pull through with a win, Trev and I had a great time cheering them on. Go IDAHO!

We did it!

We had over 150 people attend Concert for the Cure this past Saturday making our first Think Pink event a huge success! Thanks to the overwhelming support of the community we are going to be able to donate $4,000 to our local affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. We can’t even begin to express how wonderful it feels to give back to our community.

Here are some photos from the concert:

You can also check out more photos online here. You will need to scroll down the page a bit to see the slideshow. Enjoy!

Halloween fun

We went over to my parent’s house last night to watch Drake trick-or-treat on his own two feet this year. I can’t believe how much he has grown in the last couple of months…walking and now running!
Drake dressed up as a sock monkey this year and boy was he a cute one!
