The Joker! Trev was such a sport and came to our Oscar party dressed as the Joker. He did a damn good job if I do say so myself (and of course Chloe had to sneak into the pic, she insists in being in all of them).

We had a handful of friends and family over to our place to watch the Academy Awards this year. We decorated the house up fun with stars and red carpet and had a blast. A few glasses of bubbly deep and laughing along with Hugh Jackman and friends made the night. We also tossed a little adult fun in there and each put a couple bucks into a pot. The one to guess the most award winners right got to take home the kitty…and Katie knocked it out of the park…she got 5 out of 6, talk about skills!

Hello everyone! The Race for the Cure is coming our way on May 9th and is the largest fundraiser our local Susan G. Komen affiliate holds each year. Think Pink has formed a team to walk in the race and we would love to have as many of our friends and family members there with us.
I’ll be posting more details as they become available, but the best way you can help out now is to sign up and join us. Or if you can’t make the race, any amount of donation is greatly appreciated as well.
You can join our team or donate by clicking

We had a silly fun Valentine’s day. I bribed Trev to take a pic with me and our delicious blue raspberry lips and he agreed…what a good sport!
On Valentine’s Day we ended up catching a movie,
Taken, at The Majestic before dinner. Overall I give the movie a B. Entertaining and somewhat suspenseful, but I was hoping for a little more. The movie was carried by Liam Neeson, without him it would have been more like a C rating.

After the movie we were lucky enough to eat at Epi’s Basque Restaurant in Meridian. It was beyond words. The staff felt like family, the food was phenomenal and the service was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better night. Thank you Epi’s!! We can’t wait to come back.

We met up with Crissie, Nick and Lindzee this Saturday at
Buffalo Wild Wings. I was anxious to get back and happy to take along my buddies. Talk about a busy place! When we arrived they told us we had an hour wait, but luckily Trev kept his eyes on the bar and we were cozied up to a table in 10 minutes.
Crissie’s husband Nick was a brave soul and ordered “Blazin” wings. Keep in mind these are about 30 times hotter than your hottest chicken wing. Nick was a trooper and made it through all 12 wings! I don’t know how he managed…my “Spicy Garlic” were only halfway down the heat chart and my lips were tingling!
After a few beers to relieve the pain (good and tasty pain), we headed out to Edwards for a movie. We ended up seeing Coraline in 3D. Very cool movie. I wouldn’t recommend anyone take their kids under 10 though, it may give them a scare. We had fun with our 3D glasses and enjoyed the flick. Fun times had by all!

Hands down is McCall. Both Trevor and I love it for different reasons. He loves the winters there and I love the summers. But I have to say, my favorite winter activity has always been the McCall Winter Carnival.
So lucky for us, we spent last weekend with The Rutz family and my parents at the cabin. It was the first weekend of the 44th Winter Carnival. We took in the Mardi Gras parade and walked around town looking at all of the ice sculptures. This year’s theme was Camelot so there were tons of dragons and castles, all amazing.
Then it was back to the cabin for some hot toddies, sledding and game playing. We all had a blast and are lucky we get to spend time together like that- it is priceless.
Check out all the fun we had!

I have to admit, when I heard Buffalo Wild Wings was coming to Meridian I did a dance…a big, fun happy dance. This place has the best wings that have ever hit my lips and the atmosphere is just plain fun. My friends and I were frequent patrons in Las Vegas.
After waiting for months, I finally found out that BWW was going to open their doors on Thursday, 1/29. And of course I had to be there to celebrate with them as they did so in my hometown. Little did I know that tons people would camp out OVERNIGHT to be 1 of the first 100 people to enter. BWW had thrown a little fun into their Grand Opening…the first 100 patrons would receive free wings for an entire year! You can check out an article in the Idaho Statesman
here.
So I didn’t get the free wings for a year, but I did get a super tasty lunch with my fam on opening day. What more can a gal ask for?
I strongly recommend checking the place out. It is on Eagle Rd., just south of Franklin Rd. in Meridian next to St. Luke’s Hospital. My favorite is the Spicy Garlic Boneless Wings, small order of their onion rings with the spicy southwest sauce (must have), and a tall, frosty beer of choice. Enjoy!
