The month of March flew by! Needless to say I only finished 2 books this month–looks like I am going to need to catch up in April.

St. Patty’s Day
Yesterday was St. Patty’s Day AND my parent’s 30th wedding anniversary. Congrats Mom and Dad!! So to celebrate this wonderful occasion we joined in the festivities at Ha’ Penny in downtown Boise. This place was packed!! We got there around 3:30 and barely had a place to sit…luckily my parent’s friends Chris and Gary had a spot saved for all of us.

Payette
This past weekend we packed up the bags, grabbed Chloe and headed out to Payette for some weekend fun. The drive was beautiful and sunny and we made excellent time, only 55 minutes from our door to Russ and Linda’s place.
We had the back seat folded down and the trunk opened up so Trevor could fit his gun since the boys were going to be shooting all day Saturday. Chloe loved running back and forth between the trunk and car, she stopped to catch her breath for a second here.
Here is a photo of Aunt Lena, Trev, Larissa and Allen.
It was a great night! We wrapped it up with the movie Australia. I heard the movie was long, but WOW…it is very long. Pretty good flick, a little drawn out though. On Saturday the guys left after breakfast and went shooting all day. Linda, Larissa and I relaxed and enjoyed the company, it was nice to catch up. We ended up grabbing dinner at a cute little Italian place in Ontario that night. We’ll definitely have to go back there, they had smores on the dessert menu…we had a little too much fun roasting ours!
Fun facts about me
THE RULES:
1- Post the rules on your blog
2- List 6 random things about yourself
3- Invite your friends to participate and do the same
1. I am a planner to the fullest, I crave lists and organization deep down in my bones…I attribute this to the fact that my Dad hammered the following quote home more times than I can remember: “Prior planning prevents poor performance.” I have to say it is one I try to live by everyday.
2. I love to nap. It is such a wonderful feeling. I thank my lucky stars the hubby likes to nap as much as I do.
3. I enjoy quiet time. I am one of those people who love to drive to work with no music some days or who enjoys an evening alone to catch up on mental notes and contemplation. Some days I turn off all of our lovely technology and curl up with a book, some of the best days ever.
4. I, unlike my sister, have never been good at bargain shopping. But, I am excited to say I am turning a new leaf. Some of her bargain shopping skills have rubbed off on me since I have been back in Idaho an entire year now (that is an entirely different post)! The last 3 times I have purchased clothing it has been bargain prices, yippy!
5. I adore discovering new blogs/websites that encourage people to be better people. I find them to be little rays of sunshine in such a negative arena at times.
6. I like to get haircuts often. One of my favorite feelings is how good you feel as soon as you step out the door. Silky soft hair is wonderful.

Then we went to Payette and had a nice, relaxing afternoon. The boys flew their kites and us “adults” just lounged and caught up with each other. Trevor’s Dad smoked some ribs and chicken for dinner which were delicious! We can’t seem to ever leave Fruitland or Payette without full tummies. Lucky us!
