Fun at Gram’s

Today we went over to my Grandma Budell’s house to pay her a visit and hear about her recent trip to Mt. Rushmore. Bridgette and Drake joined us and we had a nice time catching up with Gram. Her trip sounded great and I’m so happy she was enjoyed herself.
She had wanted to visit Mt. Rushmore for some time so she finally decided to do it. I love that about her, when she makes up her mind there’s no stopping her. And she’s not afraid to get out and see new things. She said next on her “bucket list” may be to raft the Colorado River, you never know we may have to join her!
Here are a few snap shots from the day:
Trevor, Drake and Gram peeking over the fence at the noisy rooster.
Drake showing off his soccer skills.
Gram couting Drake’s little toes.

Bridgette, Gram and Drake–what a cute fam!

Memory Lane

I was going through some of my files on the computer and stumbled across this video I made for our wedding last year. It has so many good shots in it that bring back fun memories I had to share again.

Lucky Peak

Today we went up to Lucky Peak with my parents, Bridgette and Drake to enjoy the sunshine and take the boat out on the lake. We went early this morning and were able to find the perfect dock for our BBQ and to just hang out and relax.

I am so glad we were up there by 9 and had time to enjoy the lake before it got too hot. By 2:oo it was over 104 degrees out!

It was a toasty fun day with the fam, glad we could all make it up there to enjoy Mother Nature.

Snake River Stampede

On Wednesday we went to the Snake River Stampede Rodeo with Bridgette and Lindzee. Like last year, Robert (owner of Blacksmith Signs) hooked us up with VIP tickets so we could sit ring side and catch all the fun and dirt the cowboys and cowgirls could throw our way.

It was a blast! And it was a great night to attend since it was the “Tough Enough for Pink” night. It is always great to see the community getting involved in breast cancer funding and research.
Here are a few shots from the fun night:

A Night to Remember

Last night we went to the Sun City Carnival concert thanks to my Grandparents. It was an awesome concert– I don’t think we sat down at all! Lady Antebellum was the opening act followed by Miranda Lambert and then my favorite country singer of all time, Mr. Kenny Chesney.

The opening acts rocked the house—Miranda Lambert is such a firecracker, I love her spunk!

Then it was time for Kenny. And he did not disappoint, the show was unbelievable! And to top it off, he sang my favorite song “Back where I come from” and played a slideshow of all the Boise landmarks, very cool. I know he does that for every stop, but it still tugged at my heart strings and made me proud to be an Idahoan.

Here are a few pics from the concert:

A few frosty beverages before the concert.
Lady Antebellum
Ms. Miranda Lambert- I loved her pink guitar.
And finally Kenny!!

New ride

Today was the day! Trev traded in the Jag and picked up his brand new A4. I had to snap a few shots of him once he got home. We are both super excited for his new ride–it’s AWD, 5 star safety rating and zips around like you wouldn’t believe.

Yippy!

4th of July!

We had such a blast this 4th of July!

My Dad went up ahead of us all and reserved a beautiful campsite right on Stanley Lake, the view was amazing. On Thursday the rest of us joined him. Allen, Larissa and the boys came up in their motorhome and camped at the lake while Mom, Dad, Bridgette, Drake and Trev and I stayed in town at a cabin owned by my Uncle’s step daughter.

It was the best of both worlds truly. We enjoyed the sunshine, lake, fishing and BBQ at the campground and then came in to town for the fireworks and pizza one night. We also ventured out of Stanley for some sight seeing. On Friday we cruised down to Redfish Lake and then on Saturday we drove over to Sun Valley/Ketchum and had lunch and checked out the resort and shops. I can’t believe how much it has grown since I was there last, very cool. We even managed to spot the same celebrity in both places…Sara Gilbert may think we are following her. :)

It was a beautiful weekend spent with the people closest to my heart. Thank you all for such a great weekend away. It is one for the books!
