Cheers to many, many more!

We love the Weekends!

We celebrated Russ’ birthday at dinner with the whole fam!  Even Trev’s grandparents were able to join us.  We feasted on the buffet until our bellies couldn’t handle it any longer.

After dinner we met up with my parents and Grandma at the Caldwell Night Rodeo.  It was perfect weather, not too hot (thanks to us being on the Civy side) and the stands were packed.

Tanner was all dressed up like an official cowboy and looked great!

Boise Hawks

On Wednesday we met the Caster/Barto clan at Memorial Stadium to watch the Hawks take on Spokane. It was a hot afternoon, but it didn’t seem to put a damper on attendance—there was a huge line to get in when we got there! So we posed for a few pics to pass the time:

The Hawks ended up taking home the win, 1-0. Go Hawks!

Viva Las Vegas!

Last weekend we met up with Phil and Sarah in Las Vegas for a weekend of fun. We lucked out with the weather and it stayed right around 100 degrees the whole time. Perfect weather for Vegas in August.

Friday night we dined at Strip Steak for dinner and it was one of the best decisions all weekend. Our server was fantastic, the food delicious and the whole atmosphere was great. After dinner we cruised over to The Mirage for LOVE. Seriously one of my favorite Vegas shows I have seen. Great talent and who can beat a Beatles soundtrack?

Saturday we met up with Phil & Sarah at Caesars to lay by the pool and relax. But not before we took this cheesy photo.

Pool time was great! We had a cabana and the best pool boy money could buy…we definitely did not go hungry or thirsty. ;)

That night we walked down to Planet Hollywood and took in the Sin City Comedy Show. HILARIOUS! We all left there with sore tummies and tear stains. I haven’t laughed that hard in ages!

We wrapped up the night back at Caesars and had some dinner at Serendipity. I had one of the best Grilled Cheese sandwiches ever, no joke. And the ice cream sundaes are to die for.

Sin City we love you!

Cabin getaway

This weekend we were able to getaway and head up to McCall to enjoy the cabin. We haven’t had a chance to get up there since Winter Carnival so we were anxious to hit the road.

Mom, Dad, Papa and Grandma were also able to come up. The weather on Friday was crummy and rainy, but by 1pm on Saturday the sun came out and we took the boat out for a spin.

We even saw a deer right on the lake shore! It was really quiet on the lake this weekend due to the weather so he must have decided to take his chances and come out.

After the boat ride we enjoyed relaxing on the dock: reading, drinking a few beers and just quiet contemplation. Looks like Trev and Chloe were in deep thought here. :)

The weather turned out to be great and it was a nice weekend of pure relaxing. We need more of those!! Chloe and I took a turn on the swing before we hit the road. Bye cabin, we miss you!

We just found out that Trevor’s best friend Phil has proposed to Sarah, his beautiful girlfriend that we just adore!!

I am thrilled that he popped the question and look forward to celebrating the two of them on their big day. Yay! I love weddings!

Baby Shower Time!

As I had mentioned before, I have been having a blast planning a fun little baby shower for Larissa. She means the world to me and I was honored to host her shower!

This past Saturday was the big day. We had such a good time—her friends and family all turned out to celebrate her and little Carson at brunch. We ate, drank and played games and then watched her open all of her gifts. Carson is already spoiled and going to be the best dressed baby on the block.

Below are a few photos from the party. I have to give my sister Bridgette a shout out, she snapped the party pics and also designed all the baby shower graphics. Talented she is and boy was she a big help!

Happy shower Larissa! We love you!
