My Outdoorsman

Trevor has been enjoying the great outdoors this month.  Lucky for him, he has several other family members who enjoy hunting as much as him or maybe even more so.  Trev got his buck the second weekend of October while hunting with Dad and Cody outside of Horseshoe Bend.

Then last weekend their hunting party was back at it, only this time for a bull elk.  They were successful once again and enjoyed some great Idaho scenery while they were at it.  Here are a few shots Cody snapped along the way.

I’m glad he’s been able to take some time and go enjoy the outdoors before it gets cold.  Even better, our freezer is now stocked.  Any one have some tasty deer and elk recipes?  I would love to have them!

Suzie and Kurt Visit

Trevor’s Aunt Suzie and her finace Kurt live in Florida and it is a rare occasion for them to be in town.  We were super excited to get to have them all to ourselves for dinner on Thursday and catch up with just the two of them. You can tell they just adore each other, so happy they are getting married!

On Sunday we went out to Russ and Linda’s for a big lunch and then hung around at the house the rest of the day catching up with everyone and playing games.  Even Trev’s Great Aunt and Uncle from Twin were able to make it up.

It was nice to just relax with the fam and catch up.  Mondays always roll around way too fast though.  We had a great time with the everyone and loved spending time with Kurt and Suzie.  We’re crossing our fingers we get to head out to FL in March for a visit.  Love you guys!

And you thought I was done…

I may be the luckiest girl around — I celebrated my 29th birthday for 3 days in a row!  Sunday after church Trevor and I met up with the Caster/Barto clan at Brick 29 Bistro.  This place is in my top 5 restaurants in the TV.  If you haven’t been, get going! Their Sunday brunch is beyond words and is all you can eat for $12!  Plates and plates of deliciousness for cheap.

Anyway, back to my loving family.  We all met up and had a great brunch and I got to see my teeny tiny little nephew, Carson.  I can’t get over how fast his little face is changing and how quickly he is growing.  He opens his eyes all the time now and it is precious to see him.

Thank you all for making me feel beyond special on my birthday! My life is filled with absolute love.  xoxo

Bowling Bash

This is a belated birthday post but better late than never right?  My besties and hubby helped me celebrate my birthday by knocking down a few bowling pins at Meridian Lanes.  I had high hopes for myself, but nevertheless, Crissie “Strike-out” McDowell took home the big win.  No trophies were given away, only delicous, heavenly cupcakes Crissie made from scratch…and I was the lucky recipient.  Totally worth losing the bowling game. :)
Thanks everyone for a day of fun!  Not to mention the tasty Buffalo Wild Wings I devoured later in the night.  Delish!

Incredible Video

A friend posted this video on Facebook and I got goosebumps. It is amazing to watch a person travel to so many diverse countries and share a great expierence with people from all different walks of life. It is encouraging to see we can still relate on some common ground and share a smile and dance until our hearts are content. Enjoy!

The Big 2-9er!

Today I celebrated my 29th birthday and I swear they keep getting better as the years go by.  I have friends and family a person could only dream for and I want them to know I count my blessings every night that they are in my life.

Here are a few birthday photos with my family from tonight.  We enjoyed dinner out and then came back to our place for cake and company.  It was great to see everyone, I love you!

I saved the best photo for last…look at that smile, now does that make you feel good or what?
