Budell Family Christmas Extravaganza

This afternoon Trev & I hosted the annual Budell Christmas party and had a blast!  We had a great turnout which made my day—I got to catch up with some of my relatives that I haven’t seen in years!  My great uncles, great aunts, cousins, second cousins, third cousins all came and we had such a fun time.  I can’t believe how grown up some of my cousins’ kids are now…time sure does fly by.
My Dad brought over a cool dice game that we played.  Doug must have rigged it somehow because I swear he won 7 out of 10 hands.  Wish I could say I had.  The game was called Left, Right, Center and we played with quarters instead of the chips to make it a bit more interesting.  Lots of fun and easy to play.
Thanks to all the family that came by today, it was great to see you all and be able to wish you a Merry Christmas in person!

Wild Women Cookie Party

Every year one of my best buds Lindzee hosts the Wild Women Cookie Party the weekend before Christmas.  It is freaking awesome!  Not only do I get to catch up with my gals, I get to eat gourmet breakfast and drink enough champagne to wet my whistle.
And if that were not enough, I come home with 6 dozen delicious cookies of all sorts.  Each person brings 5-6 dozen cookies to the party and then we exhange.  Tasty, tasty!
Check out the pics below on all of the food Lindz makes for us.  Thanks again Lindzee for a wonderful party!  Merry Christmas!

Christmas Lights

Last night we met up with Trevor’s parents to check out Christmas lights.  And to make it even more fun, we had Drake with us.  It was so much fun to see him smile when he saw the lights.

We started off in Paramount and saw my favorite.  It is located on Valentino.  If you come in off of Meridian Rd. at Producer, turn right on Valentino.  The lights are timed to music and the show is awesome!  I highly recommend you check it out if you are out in Meridian, it is the best I have seen.

Then we drove over to Sundance which is off of Meridian Rd. and Ustick.  If you enter off of Meridian Rd. at Ashton, you can’t miss it, it is straight ahead with TONS of lights.  This one was also set to music and was super entertaining.  I just liked the first one best because everything matched and was coordinated…must be the type-A in me.  ;)

Last stop was over off of Collister and State St. in Quail Ridge.  This home has over 500,000 lights and was crazy insane.  Talk about traffic jam!  The cool part of this house was that they decorate every inch of their yard with fun figures (Santa, reindeers, penguins, soldiers, snowmen, you name it) and the driveway too.  So everyone parks and walks through the drive to take it all in.  Drake LOVED it.  He kept grabbing me by the hand to walk it over and over.  So sweet!

All three houses were a blast to see.  I can’t even imagine how long it took those people to decorate…talk about dedication!
