Connor turns 1!

My little nephew Connor is not so little anymore!  He turned 1 yesterday and my sister threw him the cutest little alphabet party.  Connor was all smiles and even showed off his new walking skills for all of us.  Then he cruised around on his new Harley, by the size of his grin I take it he loves it.

He wasn’t quite sure what to do with his cake, but it gave us all a laugh to watch him try.  We love you Connor, Happy Birthday!

Lies That Chelsea Handler Told Me

Lies That Chelsea Handler Told Me was hilarious and I give it a B.  It wasn’t my favorite out of her 4 books, but technically she didn’t write this one.  She only writes a blurb at the end of each chapter, but her snippets are icing on the cake.  The real authors of the book are her family and friends that she has tortured over the last 3 decades.  Those poor souls!

It was a great read and I felt like I got to know Chelsea in a new way.  The woman does have a heart and loves her fam/friends dearly.  She just has a funny way of showing it.  If you are up for a lighthearted, slightly naughty read — Chelsea is your girl once again.

Asiago’s = Amazing

I have to share how wonderful the staff at Asiago’s was for Suzie’s rehearsal dinner.  Bottom line, amazing.  They were beyond accommodating with our ever growing reservation count and were more than gracious in allowing us to have separate tickets.  On top of the superior service, the food was downright delicious.  We were starving when we arrived and boy oh boy were we happy we came here.  I didn’t hear one person out of the 22 say they were less than thrilled with their meal.

So if you are looking for a non-pretentious, delicious meal downtown Asiago’s is your place.

Suzie & Kurt’s Wedding

Last Saturday Suzie (Trevor’s Aunt) and Kurt were married here in Boise.  Bridgette and I had the pleasure of planning their entire wedding and it was super rewarding to see all of our hard work come together so beautifully!  I am excited to see Crissie’s photos from the big day, but in the meantime I posted some below that Bridgette took.  Didn’t my Mom knock it out of the park with the flowers!?!

Cheers to a beautiful life together Mr. & Mrs. Roll!

Bachelorette Fun

Trevor’s Aunt Suzie was married here in Boise last Saturday and to celebrate we took her out Thursday for some bachelorette fun.

We all met up at Twig’s Cellar and had the most amazing time!  Not only was the food super delish, but the owner and our waiter spoiled us rotten.  I had not eaten here before but had heard great things about it so I wanted to try it out.  It is a tiny little place that does not disappoint.  We were lucky enough to have the semi private room off the front which was handy so we didn’t bother any of the other guests with our obnoxious laughter and naughty presents.

Please, please if you are looking for a great place to dine in downtown Boise visit Twig’s Cellar.  You will be super happy you did.
