Last weekend Mom, Bridgette and I packed up and drove down to Utah to shop, eat and have fun! It just so happened we were also able to celebrate Bridgette’s upcoming birthday.

We shopped until our hearts were content at IKEA (horray!) and then went to dinner at Fuji thanks to a recommendation from our hotel. It was delish and so much fun! Our cook was hilarious and it was a nice way to top of a super fun girl-time day.

On Bridgette’s birthday we celebrated at the Rutz house with a yummy cake Cody made. Cheers to a fantastic year ahead B- love you!!

I am a bit late with this post, but hope that everyone had a great Easter! We enjoyed family time over the weekend. Trev and I took Drake and Connor to our church Easter Egg hunt along with my Mom. The boys were so cute to watch — Connor was good after picking up about 3 eggs and Drake kept up with the other kids his age and hunted eggs like there was no tomorrow.

On Easter we enjoyed service and spent the afternoon at my parents house with my family and grandparents. Lots of fun to have everyone together. Three cheers for Spring!

Christmas – what a special time of the year! We had so much fun celebrating with both of our families. We kicked off the season with dinner at Grandma B’s house, joined Papa and Grandma on Christmas Eve afternoon, shimmied on over to Mom and Dad’s for dinner and fun Christmas Eve night and then off to Fruitland for Christmas day with Trevor’s family. Phew!

We had such a great time with everyone. We are so lucky that our families are close and that we can see everyone and celebrate the season. I am sad I didn’t take more photos, but I borrowed some of them from Bridgette so I had a few more to enjoy.

I am blessed. I know I say that a lot, but I really am. It’s not that I am lucky- I have only really ever won 2 things in my life from a drawing and after living in Las Vegas for 3 years, my biggest jackpot was $30.  Soo, I wouldn’t say I am the luckiest person.  But I am very blessed. My life is full of amazing people who make me smile. I have shoulders to lean on, hands to hold, and very special people who will skip through the streets with me when life is just that good.

So no matter what crazy challenges life seems to bring my way, I know I will cross the finish line because I have all of these wonderful people cheering me on. My life just keeps getting better each year. So happy birthday to me and a huge thank you to my loved ones for being so generous with your hearts.

Today Trevor and I took Drake and Connor to The Farmstead and had a super fun afternoon. We played in corn kernels, climbed spider webs, Drake bounced on “The Pillow”, Uncle T shot corn and pumpkins out of a cannon, and we picked out our very own pumpkins.

Fall we are ready for your arrival!

Wow, September has flown by! And I think I have the Cabin to thank for that. We were lucky to have the family Cabin for the month of September and went up each weekend. I love that place. Seriously. Probably my favorite place. This month we happily celebrated Mom, Trevor, and Drake’s birthdays and enjoyed lots of sunshine, play time in the water, kayak rides, bike rides and camp fires.

Many more memories were added to my Cabin favorites. One that really stuck with me was watching Trevor and Drake hang out just the two of them around the campfire. Drake told me it was boy talk and that he thought it would be ok if I just went back inside. I love that he has fun with his “Uncle T” and I know Trev will be such a great Daddy when it is our turn. In the meantime our nephews are giving him great practice.

McCall thanks for a great summer sendoff — we’ll see you in December!

Last week we celebrated my Daddio’s birthday with the fam. He grilled up some burgers and Mom made a nice spread for us. It was fun to relax at the house and celebrate how awesome he is. Love you Dad!

This past weekend we spent some time with Trevor’s family in Payette. On Saturday we loaded up the cars and drove out to Owyhee for a little boating. We had a blast! I even tried wake boarding, yikes! The last attempt was over 1o years ago so I wasn’t too sure how this would pan out. I am happy to report I made it up!! Granted it wasn’t for very long, but hey, I’ll take what I can get.  We also stumbled across an old ship with a pirate flag — novelty photo time, my favorite!

We had such a fun time catching up with the fam, it had been waaayyy too long. Thanks guys for a fun time!

My cousin Derek married the love of his life last weekend and I am so happy we could be there to witness it.  Both he and his bride, Bree, were ear to ear smiles at their reception.  It was so sweet!  We wish you much love and happiness you two!!

I love him.  Plain and simple. I am a very lucky to have him in my life and count him in my blessings each and every day.  I am thankful for his guidance and unwavering ability to calm me when the waters of life get a bit bumpy.  He is my friend and my mentor and I feel so proud to be his daughter.
