My little nephew Connor is not so little anymore! He turned 1 yesterday and my sister threw him the cutest little alphabet party. Connor was all smiles and even showed off his new walking skills for all of us. Then he cruised around on his new Harley, by the size of his grin I take it he loves it.
He wasn’t quite sure what to do with his cake, but it gave us all a laugh to watch him try. We love you Connor, Happy Birthday!
Last Saturday Suzie (Trevor’s Aunt) and Kurt were married here in Boise. Bridgette and I had the pleasure of planning their entire wedding and it was super rewarding to see all of our hard work come together so beautifully! I am excited to see Crissie’s photos from the big day, but in the meantime I posted some below that Bridgette took. Didn’t my Mom knock it out of the park with the flowers!?!
Cheers to a beautiful life together Mr. & Mrs. Roll!
I loved today. Morning, afternoon and evening were perfect. We started the day out with an awesome worship at church. I sang my heart out but couldn’t come close to this. Inside I tell myself I sound that good, but I think the gentleman sitting in the pew in front of me would disagree. But oh well, Trevor still claims me.
Then it was back home to cook, cook, cook. We had a feast and I am so happy my family came to play. Papa, Grandma, Mom & Dad, Grandma B and the Rutz clan all joined us for Easter dinner. Drake provided the entertainment while he hunted his Easter eggs. And then I devoured the Coconut Creme pie my Gram made for me, I mean for all of us. Thank goodness she made 2 so I can have one to snack on this week. Yay!
And to top off a wonderful day, I got to spend the evening with the man of my dreams and my little furball. How blessed can one girl get?
Today is my bestie’s birthday and I am soo excited to celebrate it with her! Cake is in the oven (hopefully a pretty post will come out of that later) and I am anxiously awaiting dinner with her and her fam tonight.
So to pass some time I thought it would be fun to look back through our pics. It was fun. Super fun. Do you like that we matched a lot? I guess it was because we were besties way back then and we wanted everyone to know. That or my Mom got a kick out of us looking alike. Either way it makes for amazing photos.
I love you sister and can’t wait to celebrate your fabulousness tonight! xoxo
Happy birthday Tanner! Wow, his 9th birthday already…I can’t believe it. It feels like not too long ago he was 4 and blowing my mind with how he could figure out the DVD player in the car in seconds when I had been fumbling with it for minutes. Smarty pants.
Today we celebrated with him at Wahooz and had a blast. I am always up for my favorite carni games aka skee ball and hoops. I am proud to say I still put the smack down on Trev at hoops. We also played an intense game of mini golf. Allen scored 3 hole in ones and Linda 2! I on the other hand did not even have one. Whaah wah wah. Oh well. I still came in tied with Trev for 3rd place. Allen and Linda tied for 1st and Russ came in 5th. It was tons of fun.
Tanner and his buddies played everything there was. Go-carts, bumper boats, laser tag, mini-golf and tons and tons of arcade games. Thanks Wahooz for a fun day!
Tonight Trev and I watched the Rutz kiddos and had a ton of fun! Drake loves his “Uncle T” and the two of them played until their hearts were content. Since today was AMAZING weather (thank you sunshine) we started out back and played every yard game we had. Connor and I hung out on the blanket and soaked up a few rays. Next up the boys built a fort and I wasn’t allowed in. Drake informed me that “No girls were allowed”. And so it begins.
He did however join me to bake chocolate chip cookies. I think perhaps he will inherit his Dad’s great culinary skills. He was a great little helper and I have to say the cookies turned out delish. Thanks Crissie for sharing this tasty recipe with me!
Little Connor had as much fun as he could handle and snoozed in Uncle T’s arms. Who knew my husband was such an expert!
This past weekend Dad invited the usual suspects to the annual Whitewater Banquet. Dad, Papa, my Uncles Warren, Clint and Burt, Bridgette and Cody and me and Trev joined up for a great night of fun. Raffle prizes were won, fun was had and as usual my sister walked away the big winner. That girl is always lucky. Thanks Dad for a super fun night — we love you!
Today was a super fun day. My sister and her boys picked me up and we cruised over to our Mom and Dad’s place to make cake pops. Fun, fun! I have been inspired by all of Bakerella’s cake pops lately and decided to give it a try. Let me start this by saying they aren’t the easiest thing to do. But with a little patience and practice I think it wouldn’t be hard to get in a groove with them. But most importantly, they are delicious!
Last weekend we were able to hang out with Trevor’s family in Payette and catch Tanner at his basketball game. He played great and made 3 baskets! I can’t believe how grown up he is getting, and tall too!
I promise it won’t be hard. I was the slow poke of our snowmobiling group for sure. But I have to say that cruising along at 35mph the first time on a sled in 9 years was a huge thing for me. I was pretty proud of myself for keeping up and not crashing or falling off.
Trevor and I went up with my Uncle Clint, my cousin Derek and his fiancé Bree. We cruised around on my Uncle Warren’s land outside of Ola at Timber Flat. So pretty and we were blessed with a gorgeous day — I had to take of my jacket it was so sunny!
Thanks Uncle Clint for taking us out and showing us a great time!
